ProWein'15 in Düsseldorf

At this year’s ProWein, the International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits,

5 970 exhibitors from 50 countries offered their latest products to

over 52 000 visitors from 123 countries who came, twirled glasses, sniffed, tasted, discussed wines and spirits, met experts and discovered what the great world of wine & spirit has to offer.

We followed the invitation, were lucky enough to book a hotel room, packed comfortable shoes and enjoyed 9 exhibition halls full of wines, spirits and knowhow from all over the world. We saw trends like light wines with less alcohol. Although Champagne is the number one in the world of bubbly, sparkling wines impress more & more.

We noticed an increase in organic wines, e.g. from Italy, Spain or South Africa, Provence’s 50 shades of rosé, Canada’s dry & ice wine, Oliva Jones, a German celebrity who promoted her wines and of course Germany’s wine. 920 German exhibitors from all German wine regions captivated the international audience with their still, light, fruity and well balanced whites.
